Mozilla’s Send and file sharing feature is called “Send.” It allows you to upload any file up to 1 GB in size, after which the file will be encrypted on the server and available for download via a link. However, Mozilla mentions that this pilot feature is available in “modern” browsers, but we didn’t find it working in Safari for some reason. The feature works similarly to services like WeTransfer, where a URL is generated for a file located on the server. However, there is a catch. If being encrypted and completely private on the client side, Mozilla’s Send will self-destruct for 24 hours on a time-limited basis or if the file is downloaded once, whichever comes first.
What is Firefox Send?
Send is a free file-sharing service that was launched by Mozilla under their Firefox Test Pilot project. It is a standalone service that can be accessed through any browser. It allows the user to easily upload any file to Mozilla’s servers and then download it to the other device with the help of a shareable link. In addition, Mozilla offers great privacy due to the encryption of transmitted data.
Using Firefox Submit
Then, type in the following URL into the Firefox Send portal: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/send/

To start the upload process, select the file you want to upload and click “Open.” ..

When the upload process is complete, you will see a screen similar to the one shown below. Copy the shareable URL and send it to the person you want to share the file with. Alternatively, if you want to delete the file without anyone downloading it, just click on the “Delete File” option.
After entering the shareable URL in your browser window, you will see a screen that shows information about the file. Click on the “Download” button to start downloading the file.
If you click on the “Download” button, Firefox Send will first decrypt the data file and then download it to your system. When the progress bar is complete, you may receive a confirmation box regarding the file, depending on your browser. Just confirm it to complete the download.
Mozilla has just released a new update to its Firefox browser that includes a new security feature that prevents users from retyping URLs. If you try to type in a URL that has been previously downloaded and expired, Firefox will not let you access it.
