How to Use and Edit Autofill for Forms in Firefox – Guide
Firefox shows suggestions when you type in a form field. It displays an ordered list of options for the field and filters them as you start typing. The new autofill forms, coming to Firefox later this year, will change that mechanic. Basically, profiles are used to fill in all the corresponding fields on the form at once, instead of just a single field. Instead of having to fill in each form field individually, simply select one of the available profiles to fill in all fields at once.
Firefox lists all profiles that are currently open on the page. You can add, remove or edit profiles. Click on the Add button to create a new profile in Firefox. Some restrictions currently apply. For example, in Country, only the United States is supported, some fields are missing, and data transformations for some types are not supported. Click on the Save button when done. Firefox will take you back to the list of available profiles. You should see the new profile listed there and you can always click Edit to change the details or Remove to delete it completely
Enable autocomplete in Firefox
To use Firefox’s autocomplete feature, you need to turn it on first. And luckily, you can activate it separately for addresses and credit cards. This is handy if you’d rather not use it for one or the other.
Firefox will open a window with several tabs. Click on the “Add-ons” tab and then click on the “Extensions” button. In the “Extensions” window, find and click on the “Firefox Add-on” icon. In the “Firefox Add-on” window, find and click on the “Install from File…” button. On Windows, choose the file called “firefox_addon_installer.exe” that you downloaded earlier and double-click it to start installing the add-on. On macOS, open Finder, select Applications > Firefox > Add-ons and double-click on Firefox Add-on Installer. Drag and drop the file called foxyTabs onto Firefox to install it. ..
In the Forms and Autofill section, you can choose to have your personal information collected and stored by Google. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and other important information. If you do not want Google to collect this information, you can choose to disable autofill for this section.
Please choose one of the autofill options.
