The PGP system of work is a way to protect your email by using public and private keys. You need the recipient’s public key to decrypt the email with their private key. No one can intercept your message if you use PGP.

When logging into your ProtonMail account, preferably using a good dedicated password manager, click on the big “Compose” button in the upper left corner above the Inbox to create a new email.
When the new message window opens, click on the up arrow icon to open the more information window. Then click on “Append Public Key.”

If you see a green lock icon in your inbox, it means that your email is encrypted with the new PGP-enabled software.
