To create polls before a meeting

If you are a student at UCSB, please log into your Zoom account on the UCSB Zoom web portal login page.

Select the meeting link to find out more about the meeting.

The Poll section of the website allows you to vote on questions that are important to you. You can add questions to the poll by clicking on the Add button located on the right.

Please fill out the Survey form.

You can create polls for any meeting you attend, and they will be stored in the Poll section of your account. You can add more polls, edit your existing polls, or delete them.

Your polls will be available for use during your next Zoom session.

To start a poll

To take a poll during a live Zoom session, click the Poll icon located on the Zoom meeting controls bar. ..

To view a pre-built Poll, click the drop-down cursor in the new window and select “Pre-Built Polls.” ..

The Poll window will display the set of questions that will be broadcast to the participants. When you’re ready to send the poll, click Start Poll.

When a poll is in progress, the Poll window will display: -the eclipsed time -a breakdown of submitted responses -the percentage of total participants voted on -an option to close the poll.

When the voting session is complete, you will have the opportunity to Share Poll results, restart polling or start a different polling session.
