Install Simple Backup
To install SBackup, open the software center and click on the software. Search for SBackup and install the software from the search results.
Configure SBackup
If you have a separate hard drive for your personal backups, it’s a good idea to set up custom backup settings and change them as needed.
The backup program runs as root so you can back up any directories even if your user doesn’t have access to them.
The next tab will have settings to exclude directories, file types (based on file extension), a regular expression (regex) or based on file size.
To include media files in your backup, adjust the SBackup settings below to include them. Make sure your backup hard drive has enough space to store all your media files.

SSH and FTP are the only protocols supported by the remote directory, but other protocols such as SFTP and SMB are also supported. To enter a different protocol, just add the correct information to the beginning of the path and make sure you also have the correct username and password. The format of a network path is : // username: password @ server / share. If you are supporting up for a remote server, you must also check the box to abort if destination does not exist, otherwise the backup will be stored locally on your hard drive. ..
