How to Add Data to iPhone Health App Manually – Guide

Apple’s Health app for iPhone 5s and later records how many steps you take in a day, including how much you run and walk. Health app users can track sleep time and sleep duration per night, can import health data from Bluetooth devices, third-party apps and medical records, and can even go back up all this information to iCloud or your computer, and in turn share this information with other apps and devices if users allow it.

To manually enter data into the Health app on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Health app and sign in.
  2. On the main screen, click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen to reveal a list of options.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of this list and click on “Manually enter data” under “Data entry methods”.
  4. Enter your desired information into this field and click on “submit” to finish entering your data.

The Health app on iPhone is packed with a variety of features to help you create a new lifestyle, maintain your fitness and, most importantly, keep track of various aspects of health. From heart bike tracking rate, the Health app never fails to impress, but it can sometimes get out of hand in one of its sub-categories, as I recently experienced with the pedometer. Even though I was walking the streets and of course trying to meet my weekly goal, the Health app didn’t take this into account and didn’t update the data in the Health app. This was impossible for anyone to track, but then I fixed the Health app and added the steps manually to follow along.
