The Best Resident Evil Games

The series has been trying to claim the elusive zombie shooter crown since its inception. Suffice it to say that Resident Evil doesn’t have a crisp, steady reign over the parts, which have progressed into bizarre, convoluted lore and Matrix-worthy action sequences as the series grew in scope and ambition.

In the latest Resident Evil game, the player is control of a character who has been resurrected from a coma. The game is set in a new location, and the player must explore to find clues as to what happened to the other characters in the game. In order to progress through the game, it is necessary to find and kill all of the enemies that have appeared. The player can also use items that are found throughout the game to help them along their path.

Resident Evil has been around for over 20 years, and during that time, it has had a number of different games released for different platforms. While some games in the series were available on PC at some point, Code Veronica is considered the first game in the series to be released on a PC. This article reflects on the ups and downs of Resident Evil throughout its history, and finally ranks the series from best to worst. ..

Resident Evil 4 (2005)

The game’s new protagonist, Chris Redfield, is a fresh face who takes the role of a lone wolf in order to track down and stop the undead. The game’s setting is also unique, taking place in an abandoned amusement park that has been turned into a zombie-infested nightmare. Resident Evil 4 is an ambitious project that features some of the most innovative gameplay mechanics in the series. It also offers something different for fans of the genre, with a story that feels like it was written by someone who loves survival horror games.

In place of the zombies, we have some engaging and rewarding new gameplay dynamics and a dramatically more atmospheric world than the survivors have ever seen before. Simply put, this game doesn’t just deliver on the hype, it exceeds it. You will be amazed. You will be terrified. And when it’s all over, you’ll wonder why Capcom didn’t do this sooner.

Resident Evil 2 Remake (2019)

The Resident Evil 2 game is being controlled by an omniscient director, a nefarious George Romero who is ready to make your skin crawl and your mouth vomit. At several points, we found ourselves in a deep sense of shock thanks to clever scares that never seemed banal. We were caught and tricked, simple as that.

The Resident Evil 2 experience is always one step ahead of you, and will manipulate what you think you know about your environment to intrude on your psyche. Returning to rooms in different scenarios or even in the same playthrough can offer up electrifying surprises (which we won’t spoil) where the choices are adapt or die.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (1999)

The game begins with the player character, Chris Redfield, waking up in a hospital after being attacked by a group of zombies. You soon realize that you are not the only one in this hospital - there are others who have also been infected by the zombie virus. As you explore the hospital, you come across other survivors who have also been infected and must help them survive. Along the way, you will face off against zombies and other enemies in order to reach safety.

It seems that Jill Valentine, who was last seen cleaning up the mess left by your adventures in the original Resident Evil, has now returned to Raccoon City. It seems that the entire Umbrella incident has been swept under the rug, and she is no longer content with her life as a STARS officer. She decides to leave the force and pursue Chris Redfield, who is already traveling through Europe on his way to investigate Umbrella’s European headquarters. But before Jill can get out of Dodge, zombies come back in force and suddenly interrupt her plans. ..

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017)

Ethan Winters, a milquetoast protagonist, is kidnapped and tortured by a family of murderous cannibals known as the Bakers in Resident Evil 7. This departure from the zombie outbreak roots of the series in general is one of Resident Evil 7’s many unique features. ..

Capcom does not require a Resident Evil degree to get into Resident Evil 7, but there are echoes of the series’ history within it. Dulvey, Louisiana is not Raccoon City, but like the original Resident Evil, RE7 takes place in and around a single large house.

Resident Evil Village (2021)

Ethan Winters and his wife Mia are preparing dinner when they hear a knock on the door. They answer to find a man, wearing a ski mask, who tells them their son has been kidnapped. The Winters are terrified and try to find help, but they’re quickly lost in the snowstorm. They eventually find themselves in an isolated village in a snowstorm, looking for their kidnapped son. This is an effective introduction to the Village and sets the tone for the rest of the game.

The village in the game is named after a location in Romania. Some clues point to it being nestled somewhere in the wintery mountains of Romania. The village itself is a huddle of dilapidated wooden and brick houses, farmer’s fields and the occasional church.

Resident Evil 5 (2009)

Resident Evil 5 is a return to form for the series, but it can’t do it all again. It’s similar to RE4, which is a technical improvement, but unimaginative.

RE5 is a great game, but it doesn’t quite live up to the legacy of its predecessors. It has some great new features, but the overall experience can be a little too difficult to follow at times.
