The film’s structure is confusing at first and ultimately quite satisfying, following Adkins’ Cain Burgess, fresh out of prison, to a local pub where he holds the men accountable for his terrible conviction for their crimes, jumping from flashback to flashback. While he holds them at gunpoint. Few action artists can match the physical prowess Adkins brings to the table and with veteran stuntman Johnson, Adkins gets plenty of scenes, montages and sets constantly filmed to showcase his skills. If you’re a fan of DTV action games, this is a gem with some really amazing moments of violence.
Pilot
Frank Grillo stars in this crime thriller as the title racer, a hit-and-run driver who finds himself embroiled in a series of unfortunate circumstances when a heist goes wrong. With a car full of cash and no idea who framed him, he’s up for him to find out what happened, though he has no idea who he can trust.
Wheelman is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that will keep you entertained from the get-go. The end result is a movie that’s sure to leave you wanting more.
